HMS EGERIA is now officially online!

It gives me great pleasure and pride to officially launch our new website.

I hope you enjoy keeping up to date with her restoration and progress back to how she looked in her prime in the 50's.

Firstly I would like to introduce myself, my name is Darren and having completed 22 years in the Royal Navy as a Warfare Specialist and having close ties for so long with the Royal Navy and what it represents this once in a lifetime opportunity was one that could not be missed.

Having seen the vessel for the first time in Portschester in September 2010 she looked tired and in desperate need of attention.  As she is the last in her Class of ship it has become my obsession and dream to keep the Name and the Ship HMS EGERIA alive and well for many years to come.

From this website old shipmates and EGERIA admirers will be able to follow her progress in great detail via our blog posts, so please feel free to add comments and topics on our forum page to any subjects that might interest you or be of interest to the team.

Kind Regards,
Darren and the HMS EGERIA Team

  4. I was on board in 1991. I took her helm daily through the English channel. We would visit France, bologna. And other places across the coast.

  7. Any news on location? I'm willing to volunteer. I believe egeria is on the east coast inshore at a private mooring? Houseboat converting? Get in touch with me if possible. James Liskutin (leading seaman)
